This took place in Bissau on July 8, 2023, on the sidelines of the next meeting of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers, which was held from July 06 to 07, 2023 in Guinea-Bissau.     Adoption of draft technical regulations on mango, cassava and derivatives, textiles & clothing, ICT: Public enquiry launched     15 February 2023 -ECOWAS and has announced the results of the Second ECOWAS Quality Awards     18 Feb. 2023 - UNIDO handed the ECOQUIB Platform over to ECOWAS      ECOWAS technical harmonization committee on chemistry (thc3) Virtual meeting on committee draft ECOSTANDS for ethanol, waste water, quantitative chemical, chemical dyes and determination of formaldehyde 5th and 7th October 2022     As part of the capacity building of National Certification Bodies by WACQIP in preparation for their mandating, it is planned, on 03, 04, 05 October 2022, a virtual workshop on the international standard ISO / IEC 17065:2012 and its implementation.     September 20, 21 ,2022, The 2nd West Africa Connect held in Accra (Ghana) with the objective of boosting the region’s trade of mango, cassava, and ICT services     On June 22, 2022, a meeting of Technical Committee 5 (TC5), ECOMET Quality Management System (ECOWAS) was held in Abidjan to review and adopt the activity plan of the said committee for the last semester of the year 2022.     January 2022- ECOMET has adopted the 2022 program of activities of the QMS-CT5 technical committee and has elected its New President ad Vice-President     

ECOWAQ SUPPORTS THE QUALITY POLICIES OF ECOWAS AND MAURITANIA, WITH THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT OF THE WACQIP/UNIDO

 

After a successful edition in 2021, West Africa Connect is back with a new event on September 20 and 21, 2022. This time, the focus is placed on promoting mangoes, cassava, and ICT services from West African suppliers to agribusiness buyers from West Africa, Africa, and other continents.

Buyers can connect to over 150 selected fresh and processed mango and cassava suppliers as well as ICT service providers from 16 countries. Throughout the event and thereafter, the platform will offer B2B meetings with partners and access to exhibitors’ digital profiles.

At West Africa Connect, buyers can source from a wide range of regional products and services, benefitting from the tailored support provided by the organizers.

Last year, 441 registered participants from 31 countries around the world engaged in lively online exchanges. West Africa Connect 2022 will be held as a hybrid event on the 20th and 21st of September both in Accra, Ghana and online.
