Inspection is the examination of a product design, a process or an installation and the determination of its conformity with specific requirements or, on the basis of professional judgment, with general requirements. Inspection is often carried out on cargoes, for example, in the inspection of imports, to ensure that the whole cargo is equivalent to the sample of product under test.
