VALIDATED QUALITY POLICIES - TOGO

After a process started in 2012, the NQP project was validated on June 14, 2016. The integration of observations gathered during the validation workshop is being finalized. The document will then be sent to the Minister responsible for quality, who has submitted it to the Council of Ministers for adoption. Thus, The NQP has been validated in 2019.

It should be noted that the process of developing this strategic orientation document resumed with the start of the WAQSP, notably through the organization of 3 costing workshops of the action plan of the NQP project, on May 26th and 27th, and June 02, 2016, followed by the validation workshop.

For Togo, this implementation of the NQP aims at the following results:

- a better consideration of quality in the country's development programs and plans through a systematic reference to standards and quality in all activities (as provided for by Law No. 2009-016 of 12 August 2009 on the organization of the scheme national harmonization of standardization, accreditation, certification, accreditation, metrology, environment and quality promotion activities in Togo);

- better positioning of Togolese exports on foreign / international markets;

- Better articulation and harmonization of quality actions between the different ministerial departments and development sectors, through an overall strategic planning.
