"I would like to welcome this meeting that the results will undoubtedly contribute to the promotion of quality and the facilitation of trade in the ECOWAS region, through the establishment of a framework for the development and exploitation of appropriate, relevant, efficient and effective quality infrastructure to facilitate intra-regional and international trade, protect the consumer and the environment and promote sustainable economic development, " stressed Serges Ahissou, Minister of Industry and trade, at the opening of the Technical Validation Workshop of the draft documents on the set up of the ECOWAS product certification system in Cotonou, Benin

“"Through ECOWAS, I would once again like to thank the European Union which funds the WAQSP submitted by ECOWAS and which continues to work tirelessly for the development of Quality Infrastructure in the sub-region in general and in Benin especially, " added Serges Ahissou, Minister of Industry and Trade of Benin

"I would like to reiterate my thanks to UNDP, representing the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Benin, which is the operational arm of the Program for its continued efforts in Benin's development," added Serges Ahissou.
