Institutionalization of the National Quality Award: Mauritania institutionalizes its National Quality Award

The Republic of Mauritania has institutionalized its National Quality Award (NQA), like other ECOWAS member countries benefiting from the West Africa Quality System Program (WAQSP). According to the Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism of Mauritania, the award instituted by the national quality policy document, adopted by the Government, during the meeting of the Council of Ministers on 12 May 2016, will give a strong impetus to Mauritania's quality. The launch of the first edition of the Mauritanian Quality Award will be supported by the WAQSP, which supports the ECOWAS Commission in the implementation of its Quality Policy for the Region (ECOQUAL).
