Quality Management System (QMS): Ivorian national consultants trained in the standard ISO 9001 v 2015 to support local companies

As part of the implementation of the WAQSP, financed by the European Union and implemented by UNIDO, a training workshop was held from 22 to 24 May 2018 in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire). The twenty-four (24) participants in the workshop led by Mr. Achi Ayenon, an expert selected by the WAQSP, were able to enrich their knowledge of the subtleties of the standard ISO 9001 version 2015, as well as its requirements in terms of quality management. Divers subjects were therefore addressed by the trainer expert in relation to the objective of the workshop.

UNIDO Resident Representative Tidiane Boye welcomed UNIDO's confidence in the EU and ECOWAS to help improve the quality of goods and services in the region, in the interest of consumers. The representative of the Ministry of Industry of Côte d'Ivoire, Mrs. Deli Berthe Azoda, said that it was "... to make available to Côte d'Ivoire qualified resource persons to serve as auditors of the Ivorian Quality Award, internal auditors, process managers, quality managers for companies, primarily SMEs or consultants to help local companies develop their quality system ".

At the end of this three-day training, all the participants expressed their satisfaction and wish to follow further training on standards ISO 17025, ISO 45 001, 19001, 14001 and ISO 22000.
