Cape Verde: Sixteen (16) resource persons trained in the standard ISO 17065

The WAQSP funded by the European Union and implemented by UNIDO held, from 22 to 24 May 2018, a training workshop to the ISO 17065 at the headquarters of the Institute for Quality Management and Intellectual Property (IGQPI) in Praia, Cape Verde. Sixteen (16) resource persons were trained to better understand the subject of process, services and products certification.

Mr. Abrao Lopes, IGQPI Chair and WAQSP Focal Point, indicated that this activity is an important step in the certification process in Cape Verde. He thanked UNIDO for the technical support hoping that the process would continue so that Cape Verde could certify the country's first product. Mrs. Joana Flor, National Technical Coordinator of the WAQSP in Cape Verde, has informed Mr. Victor Djemba who chaired the certificate award ceremony, that the trained resource persons will be submitted for a later examination to pass to the Phase 2 of the program.
